How to compose poetry? We will have a 10 class course covering the main types of poems:
Haiku, free verse, sonnet, acrostic, villanelle, ode, limerick, elegy and ballad. The students would learn stanzas, couplets, tercets, quatrains, sestets and meters. You would be expected to create short poems in any of the types described above. And one long poem in free verse.
